Royal Oak

Date of photo: 2018

The Royal Oak was situated on Well Street. Although the building is older, the Royal Oak didn't become a pub until at least 1849 when the publican was Sarah Slack. It didn't stay a pub for long, changing into a shop, later including the village post office. Now it's a holiday let and currently up for sale.
